Could you add an option in the right click menu to play a video using the default external media player??
Also on a side note, if under file types in options, if the default media player is selected for videos and you then import videos mc cannot create thumbnails for the videos. Maybe thumbnail creation should use mc regardless of file type settings.
I don't always use an external media player but in some circumstances I do use it, I'd rather be able to quickly play a file from the context menu rather than globally change my settings..
Thanks

send to external is not what you need ?

Oops :-[, I've been looking under more play options.. Although a keyboard shortcut could come in handy or and alt + click perhaps, would save going through sub menus

would save going through sub menus
you do have the recent command available

Thanks Lasse_Lus, i will look into it :)

. Although a keyboard shortcut could come in handy
actually there are possible to set up keyboard shortcut's under options/remote control/commands..only problem, MC does not pick up the database field as it should
instead of the real filename like C:\brian.mp4 it sends [Filename] as a string, quite annoying..

you set the number you need under options (Tree & view)

One thing, how do I make this into a keyboard shortcut, I've tried but isn't that only for a remote.. I would like to use a remote and a keyboard shortcut if possible
cheers

you can set up a "keyboard remote" (Input Device)
I would like to use a remote and a keyboard shortcut if possible
