Title: Playing DSD files in 64 bit 96 kHz format
Post by: Monteverdi on May 18, 2012, 05:11:36 am
I have tried to play a free DSD file downloaded from 2L website. MC suggested to use 64 bit 96 kHz and I did. However, I noted from the Title line on top indicated that the file being played was of 1 bit 2.8 mHz. I am puzzled whether MC was playing the DSD file in its native form or in a converted 64/96 PCM form. Any advice?

1 bit 2.8 mHz, this is the bit rate of the file, not to be mistaken for the output.

If you click on the DSP icon, you get the audio path
Will tell you wat MC is doing

Is your audio device capable of playing DSD?

Thanks Vincent. I am using Mytek DAC which is capable of playing native DSD files.
