Title: Now Here's Our Plan / Last Call
Post by: JimH on May 02, 2002, 10:38:00 am
Sometime in the next hour we will put out another beta here on Interact.  It cleans up some of the little things found last night.  If it still looks good by the time we leave work today, we'll add it to the downloads page.

Any objections?  Is it ready?  Shall we let it go?

GO FOR IT!
I've only found a couple of things with Visualizations but nothing that can't really be tweaked. I am DEADLY afraid if betas due to a bad experience but I have not really had any problems with the last few downloads. Heck, my daughter finally moved away from MusicMatch when she noticed that you now can double-click on a song and it will be added to the now playing list instead of playing immediately.

Indigobl-

I'm still hoping I can reproduce that problem you're having with certain CD's and CDDB. The one I ordered should come in tomorrow or Monday so maybe I can find a way to fix the problem you're having.

In MJ8.0 you go into settings->Options-> Click on General and then in the behavior field there is a drop down menu in the double click area, pick "add to playing now (play next), click OK and then you're set. Hope this helps

I think MJ8's looking great - go for it!

When does the MJ9 testing begin? I'm tired of 8 working fine all the time

Besides the visualisation problem I've posted in the 265 thread (which is a minor bug), it all looks fine.

Best program ever, release it and get rich

Version 8 beta is now on our downloads page and the development team is over at Nikki's to have a few beers.

THANK YOU EVERYONE for your FANTASTIC HELP on Version 8.  It was a long time coming, but worth the wait.  There were some hairy moments, but we also had a few laughs along the way.

Thanks,

Jim Hillegass
CEO, JRiver

J River - Well done. It has been interesting and stimulating. Better than v.7 beta for me.

Version 8 is excellent work!

Congratulations to JimH and his team.
Although I couldn't offer any help in testing-knowing too little of computers-it was a pleasure watching the improvement in every new beta build. Besides I am still impressed of the great support offered by this board.
I am glad having had problems with MusicMatch Jukebox, which led me to discover MediaJukebox,a far more superior program.
Thanks.Great Job.

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S   !  !

A great job by everyone at J River. I've had a lot of fun betatesting it, and it has been very interesting watching MJ8 develop to where it is now. Lately, I've been recommending it to many people, and I will continue to do so.

Now I'm looking forward to the first Linux beta

A quick question: when will you update the list of beta testers in the Credits screen ?

Been busy lately but have played with all builds a bit

Busy yesterday to put my 2 cents in due to my 26th wedding anniversary (went to a new mall about 2 hours away) walked around bought some things etc….

But

I think it looks good and the remaining bugs should be worked out soon at the rate you’re going. I am glad to see skinning back (even if I don’t really use it) since it adds something to the program for users.

I would like to see animation added to the mega-me skinning, since in mj6 I did use a skin that had animation.
