Hi,
Every I've tried many times with different revisions of MC to rip a DVD directly using MC's built in rip feature . The process gets as far as setting up for the rip, but when I press "Rip", it fails every time. Up until that time, everything appears to be correct; correct drive, plenty of disk space; correct location. Each time I get back an error dialog saying "Ripping failed. Would you like the incomplete ripped data deleted? Y/N". The process gets as far as creating the directory structure, a bunch of IFO and BUP files, and one very truncated VOB file. I have the latest version of AnyDVD installed and I have no problems ripping a DVD directly using the rip feature of AnyDVD. Ripping CDs has always worked flawlessly.
Any suggestions as to how I might correct or diagnose this problem?
Thanks

I am having the same problem right now. I've had it succeed in the past, though.

Same problem here, using the latest version of AnyDVD HD (7.0.7.0). Failure occurs exactly as described by Doug on both of my new Win 7 builds, one having a Lite-On IHAS424 DVD burner, and the other with a Pioneer BDR-207D Blu-ray drive. Direct rip with AnyDVD Ripper succeeds on both machines.

Did anyone find a solution to this? I'm suffering the same.
Blurays and CDs rip fine, but DVD rips fail at the outset.
Any help appreciated.
Cheers,
Ben

I am having exactly the same issue and using MC 18 build 106
Anyone fund a solution, or heard from JRiver technical on this?

Please update to the latest. I think it will be fixed, but if not, please post (again) on the MC18 board.
Thanks.

I am a new JRiver user and I am having problems ripping DVD's. I am using Any DVD HD, my first rip was a Blu-ray, no problem. My next two were DVD's, no problem. Since then 3 out of 4 (different DVD'), attempts resulted in DVD Failure after it got to 80% to 98% complete. We tried slowing down to 4x, it didn't help. Please help!
