Title: PRESS RELEASE: JRiver Rising
Post by: JimH on June 06, 2012, 12:34:55 pm
JRiver Passes Flood Stage and Still Rising

Microsoft and Apple Competitor Enjoying Success

Minneapolis (June 6, 2012):

With a raft of new improvements, JRiver continues to rise in popularity as the comprehensive digital media player that sets the high water mark in both audio and video. The small, fiercely independent software company announced today that sales of its latest media player, JRiver Media Center, are up more than 60% over last year's sales.

"MC is still a largely unknown product competing with Windows Media Center and iTunes, but we think we've well passed their capabilities. We've been at this for a decade now, and we're now being inundated by new users who love being part of it." said Jim Hillegass, CEO of JRiver.

+100. Congrats. I can't believe Apples dinky "circa 2003" player even warranted a mention in this release - MC is 100 times more effective for any and ALL operations than that waste of hard drive space...

 ;D

The quote from Marc Andreessen (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=71227.msg480805;topicseen#msg480805) was verbatim.  The rest was a pack of lies.
