Hi,
I can not get anything in MediaJukebox 7.2 that requires a internet connection to work. I have the ADSL connection active and everything else can connect to the internet fine, but MJ just can't even create the socket. Even if I am not connected at the time then MJ will initiate the dialup but then fails the connection. Why is this? It happenes on downloading plugins, looking for upgrades and CDDB connections, etc..... Is it using TCP/IP or some other protocol that I have to install.
I am running on Windows XP Home.
Cheers,

Does IE work? MJ uses the proxy settings from IE.

IE, FTP, PING, TRACERT all work fine. It's just MJ that can;t create a socket.

Try reinstalling. Doesn't sound right.

Have managed to fix it. It was nothing to do with MJ. I uninstalled a firewall recently and that messed up some TCP/IP operations. Thanks for all your help.
