Title: New instal

Please help.

My husband had to reformat his machine.

We have put M/C back on and put all the network drive for auto import then put in the library.

Trouble is even thou the files look like they are  all there they are not and wont play.

I have started the import but now the library has one file that it can see and another file it cant.

What have I done wrong?? and how do i clean up all the dead duplicates?

Do you have a backup of MC17?  This should contain your original library and all your settings.  Restore that and, provided you set up the path to your network drive in Windows the same as it was, everything should work OK.

I had tried that and it did not work but reading your answer triggered a memory.

The Drives on the HTPC have to be mapped on his computer and I had not done that. I went straight the the HTPC

Anyhow thanks it is working again
