In 17.0.172 I can't get cover art to save at all.
I just ripped lots of Pat Metheny cd's - First off they imported and didn't get the cover art (cd covers) automatically like it use to, I thought that was strange. Then I went to get from internet. The cover art
(cd covers) shows up, I select save cover art - nothing. I then got to Images - select the correct cover art - select use this file as the cover art for (cd name) - select keep using this answer - select OK..
Nothing happens - This use to work flawlessly. Has something changed?

Try rebooting.
This has been going on for two days now. Rebooted all day yesterday and a fresh start this morning.

Anything special you're doing? Library Server, for example?

Last night I had problems with the coverat on the Movie lookup. I would ask it to save the cover and nothing would happen (always worked flawlessly).
I too haven't rebooted (did restart MC) but will do so when I get home.

Firstly apologies if this does not end up related to proproman's problem...
I have restarted my computer and at the moment the lookup movie info does not save the image. Data is updated, but the image is not saved.
Here is the end of my log in case this helps...

In my case this is anomaly is most likely something I have done. I recently moved all of my media to a new accumulated drive (using drivebender). I made a slight mistake during the my update of my files (i.e. pointing them to the new path) and had to restore a past library, but other than that I don't believe I have done anything. I did go through the file locations settings to make sure I am not using any now defunct drives. I have also checked permissions.
Any suggestions??
Thanks

Happy to highlight my own stupidity, hopefully to benefit one other in the future. What privileges you have for a share are not the same as the actual directory, I know. no surprise. I share M: drive, checked M: drive for privileges and thought all was good but of course did not have write privileges to the share. All is once again good in the state of Denmark.
sorry
craig
ps: only thing that MC could have done to help me help myself was to have a better report, along the lines "I can't write changes here you ...."

A good rule of thumb is to set wide rights on shares (for example everyone read and write), and more granular on the NTFS files and directories. It can save you a lot of trouble :)

"[Solved]"
struct's problem was solved, but the OP's problem may be different.

A firewall problem? MC needs outbound access.
