Title: No .srt subtitles on client

I am running MC 17.172 in my htpc acting as a server, and I tried running an MC client on my laptop, connected via wireless with the htpc.
Audio and Video seem to work fine, but I cannot see the subtitles (.srt subtitles on .mkv video files) on the client.
They appear fine when watching the same movies on the htpc, but the are not vissible on the laptop...
I have set all setings on the client side to show subtitles.....
Any ideas?

Subtitles should work on the client.  Could you explain the filename scheme you are using?

Sure!
Shrek.mkv is the video file
Shrek.srt is the subtitles file

MC17 also creates a sidecar file based on the same filename.
When i play Shrek.mkv directly on the htpc, subtitles are normal.
I have problems only when I play the movie on my laptop...
