ive had a quick go of jriver and must say it felt very professional, however it looks like the two things i really need are missing which is live tv to be viewed on clients with tv card in server, the other is be able to watch subscription channels for sky uk
are these planned for development? and if so any idea of timescales?
shame if not as jriver is a really slick mediacentre

Do you mean encrypted channels by "subscription channels"? Playing encrypted channel is in the plan, but I can not tell you how soon it will be done. Watching live TV from client is being worked on and should be out soon.

Yeah encrypted channels, hopefully something will be sorted for jriver as I can see why it's not freeware, it's very slick

Hi paul77,
how are you currently watching encrypted stuff? Linux box?
I gave up on my subscription a while back, but might consider getting it back if there's a chance of making it work through my PC.
Cheers, and welcome to JRiver forums!

I'm using mediaportal Mdapi and oscam works a treat
Oh also omnikey card reader
Would consider converting to jriver of and when this can be possible

Do you know if it is possible to dump the directshow filtergraph from Mediaportal?

PS: If this is gobbledeegook to you then don't worry about it!
