Title: Error Message When Choosing "Check for Updates"

Build 8.0.260

When I choose "Check for Updates", I get a dialog that says "Version Info" and "Connecting..." and then I get an error message that says "PackageInstaller" in the title bar and "Version Info File is Invalide." (typo)

This has been happening on many of the most recent builds, perhaps going back to 254.

It's happening with Build 261 too.

I get this at work (through our firewall) but not at home (dialup).

Thanks for clarifying.  Yes, I'm experiencing the problem at work, behind a firewall.  However, it did work like a charm not too long ago.

Same here. I'd used Check for Updates to download a couple of new MJ builds, but it doesn't work in this latest build here at work.
