We can't reproduce these two reports (LCtheDJ and Holden) but we changed to a more aggressive sound card flush when music naturally comes to a stop. Hopefully it'll do the trick, but let us know if it isn't fixed in the next build.
Also, try switching from DirectX to WaveOut (or vice-versa) and let us know if that helps.
Thanks!

Bug Reports:
I believe someone reported this a while back but I still have the following problem:
When in a playlist, after a file has stopped playing, when I click on another song I hear a fraction of a second of the previous song followed almost at once by the newly chosen song.
Is anyone else experiencing this. Thanks.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
For a couple of builds now, I have noticed that when starting play from stop, I get a quick couple of clicks before the music starts. It's not the track; doesn't do it when going from one track to the next - only starting play from stop.

Matt,
Here's the setup:
Media Jukebox PLUS 8.0.263
CPU: AMD Athlon 906 MHz MMX
Memory: Total - 523 MB, Free - 350 MB
OS: Microsoft Windows 2000 Workstation 5.0 Service Pack 1 (Build 2195)
Internet Explorer: 6.0.2600.0000
ComCtl32.dll: 5.50.4704.1100
Shlwapi.dll: 6.00.2600.0000
Shell32.dll: 5.00.3502.4718
wnaspi32.dll: 4.57 (1008) , ASPI for Win32 (95/NT) DLL, Copyright © 1989-1997 Adaptec, Inc.
Aspi32.sys: 4.57 (1008)
Sound card: Turtle Beach, Santa Cruz
driver: 5.12.1.4142
then
driver: 5.12.1.4161
The test: Play an mp3 track. Click the stop button. Wait 3 or 4 seconds. Click the play button. Get clicks, buffer loads, song plays.
I tried: wave out/sound mapper, wave out/Santa Cruz, and direct sound. Performance slider to the left, to the right. The only difference is with wave out I get a double click; with direct sound, I get a single click.

Matt:
MJ 8.0.263 has corrected the problem reported above. No carry over of sound from one stopped file to the next clicked on file. A more aggressive flush must have done the trick. Thanks as ever.
