Hy'
First - I'm French , sorry for this English ...
I own a REGA DAC , plugged on a computer only serving to listening to music .
I bought MC , the 16th , and now upgraded to 17th .
I really enjoy this software , because of it's nice skin , amazingly easy to be used with a touchscreen . My Library has been recognized , and tags were OK in a few minutes .
Playing music has never been so easy !
BUT ! I have a little trouble while manually changing song , a little noise made of CReuhhhhhhhhhhhhh , do you remember the noise between two songs on a vinyl disc ? - the same ! .
My settings :
The last version of MC , AUDIO Output in KS way , Buffer = the more and the least , same noise , no DSP .
REGA DAC plugged by USB wire .
This noise is no more heard if settings are : WASAPI Event or only WASAPI , using the same devices , but I found the sound is not so clear .
Sometimes , this trouble is even going ON the music , not only between the songs .
It's a pitty , because I really take pleasure listening to this HIFI system .
Have any idea ? ... I think I have tried all settings that I could , for no result , I have to listen in WASAPI settings ...
Thank's if you can help me .
Bye , kind regards ,
R@F .... from France

I have to explain more :
The noise is always present , even if I :
unplug the mouse
remove charging wire ( 220V) of the Cpu ( it's a touchscreen laptop )
keep only ethernet network wire
... and the USB DAC wire !
No other peripheric .
Also , I must say that the computer is tweaked , only for audiophile utilisation ... there are not so many services turning behind the player .
Regards ,

Welcome to the forum. You could try the latest build from the top of the MC17 board.
You could take a look at other similar threads. Here, for example:

Asking the manufacturer would also be a good idea.

Answer of the French dealer of REGA company :
"
Bonjour
Si vous utilisez la connexion USB, c'est normal car ASIO et KS n'y sont pas compatibles. Si vous tenez à les utiliser, il faut passer par un convertisseur USB-Coaxial du genre HIFACE de M2TECH.

That means that the USB connexion of the REGA DAC cannot run with KS or ASIO output choosen on the CPU ... and that if I want such a setting , I must connect through a Hiface M2Tech Key .
Hope that will serve to someone else .
