I've had a couple of private messages today from people who weren't happy about what was being said.
Everybody has a bad day. It's been hot as hell here for a week. It can make you grumpy.
One of the posters said they thought that health problems maybe made them less tolerant. I've got that myself. I know it affects my mood.
Being overworked can do it. A cross word can. There are a lot of reasons for having a gloomy outlook and letting it show.
But not here. Not now. Stop it!!!
We're almost all adults by now. Some of us a lot older than we wish.
You guys are too good, too important to us, too good for each other to let a grumpy word get in the way of having a good time, a good day, making someone happy.
So snap out of it!!! Shower your friends with love. Give.
I love this group. You make me laugh. Sometimes when I don't feel like it.
Just don't be crabby any more.

We can be friends. I'm your friend, despite living in Brazil (and I speak little English).
Beautiful message. Let's be happy. I'm happy here.
Fabricio, from Brazil.

I think Jim is leading by example. For the first few years on this forum I disliked Jim and thought he was a very unpleasant person. I'm not sure what happened but for the last year or so Jim has morphed into a really nice person that listens more and is less close minded.

I think we are and it's just the nature of life all families have spats but they forgive and/or forget in time.

I've decided to run for office.

Nicely done, Jim!

I really like the Interact Forum. The JRiver developers amazingly are able to keep up with it. I'm way impressed and feel to be a tiny part of the product, not an end user with no influence. It's very positive overall from my view.

Darnit, I missed another pastry fight.

I love you guys...

As soon as I saw the Subject line I started hearing "Give peace a chance" in my head.
Even the voices are saying that we should all just chill and enjoy the summer! :D

Now I'll have this song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJTBPdVpdMc) in my head all night. :-\
So thanks for that, Jim.
Really.
Thanks.

Now I'll have this song in my head all night.
I can't decide which is my favourite verse: "Sometimes I don't speak too bright / but yet I know what I'm talking about" or "I know you're working for the CIA / they wouldn't have you in the Mafia." ;D

I've decided to run for office.
;D ;D
be careful- you might win !

I don't know what happened to bring this about, but now I'm grumpy as heck........because I can't get that song out of my head! My wife just looked over to me and said "Really? Of all songs you pick that one to spread?"
Thanks a lot Jim. My wife thanks you too. ;D
But in all honesty, your previous post in another thread about words not meaning the same when typed as when said in person pretty much sums up the technological world we live in today with our lives happening in front of a monitor instead of face to face. We must all adapt and grow thicker skins or else every little word will take different and ugly meanings...... and that won't be good.
As my 7 year old little princess is so fond of telling me, "Chillax!"

On the other hand we could (better) learn the art of "writing". We are so lazy. We will write anything without consideration........these words not excepted.
Does rjm really think Jim is that different than he was? Or do you think he found a better way to represent himself (to you)? Or you read him in a different light? There is a lot going on here.
Cheers! Just a thought..........

PS - Thicker skin is always a good thing. Not too thick though...

Hugs all 'round

I don't know what happened that led to this thread, but...
