Title: Someone explain this...

Run one particular URL via "File/Open URL", all fine.

Copy & paste that URL into an entry within "Connected media", result - "something went wrong with playback".

Other URLs set up within "Connected media" are problem-free.

What on Earth is going on?

Did you check for leading or trailing spaces?
