I had problems sharing my library on my lan.... they I realized that Media Server only share my MP3s and not my WMA...
Bug ? Settings ?
Help me please
-
I really need to understand that, please.
Why can't I share WMA with media server, but only MP3s...
-
Yannl,
I am sorry but WMA cannot be streamed due to the restriction of decoding WMA files.

Raymond
so could it not be converted to mp3 or m01 to stream?
-
Ray, I'm not questioning you being right, but it raises a question.
Why can you stream Windows Media video (WMV8 for example) files then? The audio on those is just a WMA track... For instance I can make a WMV video file with a 0 bit video track and a 128Kbit WMA audio track and stream that just fine.
Not trying to be a pain, actually curious to the answer.

I can play mp3, mpeg, ram, asx, avi, apl/ape, mpc, & ogg files over the lan just fine in MJ from explorer.
