Title: MC17 user control ??
Post by: kkl on July 17, 2012, 12:44:00 pm
I'm new to JRiver and have a few elementary questions that I can't find an answer to.

1.  Windows arrow keys seem to feature an auto-repeat.  This is a problem especially in Theater mode because a press of a keyboard arrow key will move two places in the menus, skipping over an item.  Is there a solution to this?

2.  Is there a way to browse by Windows folder, especially in Theater view?  I keep my files fairly organized in folders and don't like to see a list of 100 files or more at a time.

3.  Is there a hotkey or way to automate the selection of Options/Audio/Audio Output-Output mode settings and Options/Video/General Video Settings-Bitstreaming?

Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the forum.

1.  Should not happen.  Are you using a keyboard or remote?

2.  Use "Explore" under Gadgets.

3.  No.  But explore the use of "zones".  Start at the wiki.

For #2, once you import, you can also create views based on file location.

Look at Theater View > Video > Disk as an example.

Theater View views are customizable in Options > Theater View.

You may want to look at the key repeat delay and rate in control panel/keyboard.

Thanks very much for the helpful and quick responses.

1.  Hmmm.  Only happening with keyboard.  However, after further investigation, this side-effect seems to be introduced by Eventghost, which I'm also running.  It stopped when I quit that program.  Glad to know that it's not MC17.

2.  That's what I was looking for.

3.  I'll investigate Zones.

Thanx.
