I ordered files in different folders eg, excel, access, ms word , mp3, mpeg4 etc When i select a file into media player ,all the files from the my video folder is pulled into media player instead of the selected sorted files that i only want.

Not sure i understand your issue but the you can change mc behaviour under file->library->import->configure auto-import
