Title: Samsung/Apple dispute
Post by: Mr ChriZ on July 19, 2012, 10:46:21 am
Not sure if this has been made visible across the rest of the world but Apple have been ordered to run adverts over here in the UK stating that Samsung did not copy the iPad:

This is great news. I'm so fed up by all of this "you stole our idea" bs. The patent system is so screwed when you can take patent on such generic things as the looks of a Pad. Apple is not the only one being unfair, but they are certainly pushing the limits. It just needs to stop.

These stories always remind me of the fateful visit by Jobs & Wozniak to the Xerox PARC facility way back when. There they saw a GUI operated by a primitive mouse. Guess what they soon after started selling? I have little sympathy for their crying when someone copies something of theirs!

Cheers,
Rod
