Title: WMC disabled - JRiver 17 trial expired
Post by: lockdown571 on July 24, 2012, 05:28:19 pm
So I can't open WMC because I disabled it when I was testing MC 17. Now my trial is expired, and I can't open MC 17 to re-enable WMC. I'm also not sure if uninstalling MC 17 will re-enable WMC. What should I do?

After 54 posts, I hope you'll consider a purchase.

But you can enable / disable WMC manually using 'Set Program Access and Computer Defaults':

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, this does not work. Windows actually thinks that Media Center is enabled. I tried disabling it and then re-enabling it, but still no dice.

I'm also still on the fence about purchasing it. The major roadblock is this: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=72936.0 (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=72936.0), and a few other minor issues. I'm definitely keeping on eye on improvements.
