Title: [bug] when dealing with VIDEO_TS subfolders
Post by: Scolex on July 31, 2012, 04:34:52 pm
I have recently found that if you try and move a DVD rip into or out of a VIDEO_TS subfolder with "Rename, Move & Copy files" MC gives you an error.
I don't normally use a TS subfolders but VidCoder's drag and drop a folder for conversion only works if a rip is in a VIDEO_TS folder so I was trying to
use MC to move all of my rips into subfolders.

Create VIDEO_TS folders
Find: VIDEO_TS.
Replace: VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.
Result: VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.

Find: <empty>
Replace: <empty>
Result: creates a VIDEO_TS subfolder even though there is nothing entered

You can watch the folder where the files are and they temporarily move into the VIDEO_TS folder and then MC shows an error and moves them back out leaving the subfolder
a second attempt works fine other than MC creates an additional VIDEO_TS folder within the VIDEO_TS folder.

When trying to remove files from a VIDEO_TS folder you get this.
Find: VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.
Replace: VIDEO_TS.
Result: error says ...\\VIDEO_TS... can't be created or something similar.

I have verified the behavior on 2 different machines with both 17 and 18
I can create screencaps if you wish but I see no need since it is easily replicated.

Bump

Don't mean to be a pain but can I get a response from the dev team on this, even if it is just a confirmation of "we are looking into it".

Created a little screencast so you can see what happens. (http://youtu.be/z7EdFLbBz6A?hd=1)
