Title: Samsung la40b650 low res or no res
Post by: RayDiant on July 31, 2012, 09:00:12 pm
If I put a 1080p mkv file on a usb stick and plug it into my Samsung la40b650, it plays fine :D. When I use the samsung dlna server in MC17 I either get 'unsupported video format' or really crappy resolution  :(. The Samsung media player with DLNA works as well but I don't want to use that.

How can I use DLNA with MC17 to get to get a full 1080p mkv file to play on my Samsung la40b650?  ?

If the Samsung supports mkv natively, you could try turning off video conversion (convert never). The default "convert when necessary" converts everything that isn't required to be supported by the DLNA standard. MKV is not required to be supported by the DLNA standard.
