On multiple occasions (maybe 4 or 5 times) I have had my beautiful and large, or even huge, cover art saved as folder.jpg in each album folder automatically replaced by a low res 200x200 folder.jpg for a couple of hundred albums (and AlbumArt_([some code])_Large.jpg or ...Small.jpg, or AlbumArtSmall.jpg files added in the album folders). Now it happened again. The file modification times, as reported by MC, indicates that the replacement took place from late last evening and during the night and continued through the day. I was not using the PC until this morning, but I had restarted it last evening. OS is Win 7 64-bit.
I am sure MC is not doing these destructive operations (but makes it easier to clean up afterwards). But what is and how can I prevent it from happen? (I suspect it is somehow the Windows media player that I do not use.)
Sorry if this is the wrong forum/forum department to start this non MC related thread. Feel free to move or delete.

That's not MC doing it. This is a known problem with WMP and with Windows Home Server. There's at least one post on it in the "Weird Problems" thread (link in my signature).

Thanks for the immediate reply!
As already stated in the heading for the topic I am fully aware that MC is not doing this. I could not find any useful information in your "weird" thread. I already know how to fix this using MC, and I have been forced to fix it on multiple occasions.
What I wanted to ask was if anyone in this knowledgeable community has any advice on how to prevent this from happen yet one more time. I do not use Windows Media Player but I suppose the software is installed since I have not explicitly uninstalled it. Windows Home Server is not installed anywhere on my LAN.

Google might help.

Thanks! That thread was helpful. I have added the two recommended registry entries and am hoping for the best.
