Title: Is there a way to stop MC17 from intercepting remote commands in server mode?
Post by: pillshovel on August 14, 2012, 09:28:47 pm
I would like to leave MC17 running in media server mode all the time on my main HTPC. The problem is that I use MC exclusively for music and another program for movies and TV for various reasons (primarily spouse approval). The issue I am having is that if MC server is running it prevents the stop button on my remote from stopping the video in my other program. So for now when I want to listen to music I have to turn on the TV to start MC17. I tried I unchecking the remote in the device section (I use JRemote so I don't need the remote for MC17), but that didn't work either. I'm sure there is something that I'm missing.

Has nobody else run into this?

Just installed JRiver last night with JRemote.

Have the same WAF issues and setup as yourself and I've had to disable server function.

Well at least I'm glad to hear it's not just me. Unfortunately the server is the main thing I need running on that computer. If anybody knows a workaround I would really appreciate it.

Same issue here, annoying really. I'm using a remote app on the tablet to work around the issue but there really should be a way to turn this off.
