Title: Hauppauge 2250 not detected

I used to use Showshifter, then went to several other PVR programs, and have been using WMC7 for several years.  I watch recorded TV, DVD's and Blu-rays on my standard-issue HTPC.

But, for MC17, I'm a new user, without any experience.

I've got a Hauppauge 2250 card in my HTPC, and it isn't detected.  No tuners are listed. So, I can't play with the channels, EPG, or do anything else PVR-related.

I've attached a log file.  Any help out there?

Your log shows that MC did not find any TV tuner devices.  This is strange since you can use the device in other programs.  Make sure you have the correct driver for the tuner.  Also, make sure other PVR programs are not using the device (some programs have services that are constantly running).

It really screwed up my system.  It took uninstalling the drivers several times, deleting the device in Device Manager, etc to finally get it to even re-recognize my card. It took about 3 hours of trying various things before Windows 7 could even detect the card again.

Needless to say, I'm not planning on installing MC17 again.

If you're implying that MC did that, it's impossible.  MC won't touch your drivers.
