Title: Continuous Error: Cannot load video capture filter

This keeps popping up over and over saying:

Critical error encountered
Error message:
Cannot load video capture filter
The parameter is incorrect.

I just logged in today and it says this.  We watched a show on Saturday and had a couple of shows set to record on Sunday, they did not record.  In fact I missed a couple of recordings this week and set them manually to record later in the week but they did not record so I set them for another showing and those did not reocrd.  I've now missed 6 recordings in a row and also have the above error and cannot do anything in MC since the error comes up ever 2 seconds and interupts what i am trying to do.

Please help!

What tuner device?  What type of TV channel?

A system restore fixed it ::).  Once I get my shows straightened out I'll see if it was the MC update or a Windows update that caused it and send a log if it does it again.  Thanks.

Well so much for system restore fixing it.  I'm using the Hauppauge HVR-1800 and HVR-2250.  I think it's trying to capture from the s-video.

I'm emailing the log now.

I think it was only doing that when something was set to record.  I did another system restore to the 10th, canceled the MC update and set a show to record at 5 so I'll find out shortly if it was the MC update or if something is totally jacked lol.

5pm update:  One s-video and one ATSC show is recording with no errors.  It must be something in the update that didn't like me hardware. (I'll blame the hardware :D)

The problem may have been a bug introduced in recent builds.  I fixed it for MC18 but forgot to merge the code to MC17.  Now it has been done.

Ok I logged into that computer and it had done windows updates last night and even though I disabled MC automatic updates it updated anyways causing the error again.  Once I installed the DLL and restarted MC17 it works fine with no errors so far.

I am curious though why it updated even though I disabled automatic updates.
