Title: Dolby Digital, DTS movie playback - SOLVED
Post by: Swannque on August 20, 2012, 06:20:28 pm
How do I get my copies of Blu-Ray discs movies to play in Dolby Digital or DTS as opposed to multi-in.

I am using a Denon 3808ci receiver with MC17 on a windows 7 machine.

??

You have to set bitstreaming on under Video options.  For multi-channel formats other than DTS, you need to use HDMI connections.

Is it possible to decode DD True HD and DTS MA and output each channel,7.1 digitally with something like a Lynx AES16 card with digital outs on all channels? My set-up will ultimately include 8 channels of external dacs.

You can output 7.1 PCM over HDMI 1.2 and above.

No external dacs that I am aware of have HDMI inputs? I'm interested in PCM over SPDIF like http://www.lynxstudio.com/product_detail.asp?i=16  Trying to avoid HDMI for this set-up.
