Hi,-
I have a problem with Tremote
I use this setup guide.
http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Tremote
The problem is that audio/video is played locally on the Client and not on the server.
Virus protection is turned off.
regards Jan

Under the client's Playing Now, the remote machine (the server) should show up. You can drag content to it or just click on it. Everything should then play on the server.

Hi
Server does not show up.
In Play Now, there are only
> Player
and
Playing from (with the libraries from the server and the client)
Can I use the Theater view on the client?
Tanks for help!

If you've loaded the library from the server, the server should be there.

I had a similar problem and discovered that my user account was corrupt or at least not standard. I switched to a new user account on the PC and was able to use tremote as advertised. No fuss at all.
Should you figure out what exactly is wrong with your user account... Let me know...It is some network issue that I don't know enough about to sort out.... I just moved everything to a new one. (PIA)

As reported (with pics) here:

I am having the same problem. I haven't sat down to try rectifying it but re-creating my user account to rememdy this is not really an option for me.
And I have Tremote running on 3 other PCs in my house and have been using it since it was released.

I've just created a new user account on the client. When updating the server to whs2011.
I do MC17 installation again and write when it's done.
THANK YOU for your help

Prior to my user account change solution... I saw one screen about network PC names while I was exploring things and this account had question marks.... Should you see the same thing... I suspect one of the network guru's can tell you how to solve it.
