Title: DLNA-Video: multichannel to stereo downmix ?
Post by: soundcheck on September 03, 2012, 03:17:51 am
Hi folks.

I'm wondering if there's a multichannel to stereo downmix option for videos in MC-DLNA.

If not. That would be a nice feature. It's pretty much a standard feature on most of the DLNA servers out there.

THX a lot.

Cheers

Q: Does the stereo downmix option in the Music area of the DLNA server settings  also apply to Videos ??

If yes. Great. Then the actual issue would have been solved.

But I have to say it's quite confusing - mixing the parameters of the music section with the video section.
The downmix parameter should end up in the video section IMO.
At least in my case I'd handle Videos and Music and Images and Audio for images differently.

THX

The downmix option in DLNA is currently audio only.

Hmmh.

I'd say in 99.9% of the cases it's required with video.
