Title: how to force Media Center to select the same IP address when it is launched?

Hi,

I use JRemote for remote control of Media Center. I frequently have to add "new'" SERVER info in JRemote and I find that the address has changed since last time MC was launched. The server name, access key and port all remain the same, only the IP address has changed.

If I could somehow lock down the IP address then JRemote would launch trouble free every time.

Suggestions?

The issue is with your PC and not MC, either extend the duration of DHCP leases (probably assigned by your router) or give your NIC a Static IP Address (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/19249/how-to-assign-a-static-ip-address-in-xp-vista-or-windows-7/) << Clicky Clicky.
