Title: Startup volume not working?
Post by: Trumpetguy on September 06, 2012, 10:06:35 am
I have startup volume set at 30%, and this has worked before. I just noticed that in .184, the volume for each zone is remembered when restarting MC. I gotten used to this protection, and was somewhat surprised when suddenly the initial volume was at 82%....

Is there any reasonable explanation, am I doing something wrong? I use Internal Volume.

You might want to turn on Volume Protection:

I have, it is always on.
Earlier all zones were set at max 80%. Now, one zone is maxed at 90%, the rest 80%. I thought that may have caused a bug to appear, since it is the only thing I can think of that has been changed lately. I tried setting all zones to 80% again with no luck.

Just installed .185, and was sort of hoping the startup volume (limitation at 30%) would work again. It didn't. Is it only me that have this problem?

I'm running MC17.185 and the program opens up properly to various different start-up levels / when running 2 zones ( into 2 different sound cards ) .

I wasn't able to trip it up at all ( when adjusting the different "internal" working levels and max percentages of those working levels )  .

Opened &  closed MC many times and it always came back to my ( previously used ) settings for both zones .

FYI, I'm running XP pro SP3 .

Thanks for the report. I do expect my problem to be exactly that: my problem caused by something weird on my computer. I am looking forward to MC18, and hope a fresh install fixes it.
