Title: MC17.0.185 Crashes when using ESC key while in Display View
Post by: gtp600 on September 09, 2012, 03:24:19 pm
Just upgraded from MC15 to MC17.0.185.  MC17 crashes consistently after the following:
1) Start MC17.  I startup in Audio, Standard View.
2) Start playing music.
3) While music is playing, go to View Menu, and select Display View
4) While in Display View, hit ESC key.

MC17 locks up. Tried a couple different Track Info formats, with same result.

If in step 4 you select Close Display from the drop down player view, Display View exits properly.

Does rebooting and reinstalling help?

This also happened with MC17.0.182, which I installed installed first. Upgrading to 17.0.185 had same results.
I have not tried removing MC17 altogether, and reinstalling. Rebooting PC doesn't help.

May be a driver problem.

OK, a little more info on this. Uninstalled MC17.0.185 and reinstalled. Everything default.

Play an audio file.
While audio file is playing, go to View, Display Mode. Click anywhere in the display, then hit ESC to exit. Display view exits fine. So far so good.

Play an audio file.
While audio file is playing, change the Track Info to another format (ie in the lower left corner, right click on Display image, go to Track Info, and change to another format)
As before, go to View, Display Mode. Click anywhere in the display, then hit ESC to exit. MC17 in now locked up.
