Title: MPC-HC style
Post by: Ritana on September 12, 2012, 10:04:20 am
I have been using JRiver for the past few months and I quite like it, its robust in the type of media it can play with minimal configuration.

My quibble with JRiver is that there is no real way to make it seem minimalist.  If you take a look at MPC-HC, it looks very simple and on a basic level it is much simpler to use than JRiver is for everyday usage! its a black box, with all the buttons you need(which you can even hide!!!).

In short, is there anything around to make JRiver feel similar?

Mini View will give you an interface as minimal as possible I think. ctrl + 2
You can also collapse the left hand column, you can make a view with only the items you need, and you can resize the player to be as small as you want. You can remove the stop button in the options. This basically gives you the same as early Winamp players with a few additional things like the row with links, the current tab and the search bar. Other than that, you can't really make it much more minimalistic, can you?
