Hello All, I am just some non- techie who is having trouoble with the upgrade. I have had several versions of Media Jukebox and recived the upgrade email. after downloading Mc 17 i wanted to just go ahead an purchase. But, price was full price not the discounted "upgrade" price mentioned in the email. Waht do i do next? Thanks in advance for all of the fine advice. :)

If you have an MJ8 license, you can install MJ8, and do a restore. Then the price should be the upgrade price.
If you have any other version of MJ, it won't qualify for the upgrade.
-
Thanks for thinking of upgrading.
It's even a little easier than Jim said, because you don't need to install the old version (MJ8).
Just restore your old MJ8 license code at the restore page, then purchase MC17 from inside the program.

found old mj 8 restore code. will enter at restore page. but which restore page and how do i get there?

Thanks for the hand holding Matt, Got it! Now, should i even try to do the upgrade to 18 yet? or spend a little time with 17 first?
-
Thanks for the upgrade.
You have a v18 license, but I'd stick with v17 for a while since you're already stepping 9 versions!
v18 is for brave souls that like helping us find and fix problems.

Will do, one last question for today. How can i import playlists from old Mj versions(12 or 14) to MC 17?
-
I'm not certain what happens when stepping so many versions.
But you could try a library backup in the old version and a library restore in the new version. It's under the file menu inside the program.

thanks soo much for all your help Matt. You are Aces in my book.
