Hi Gang !
Currently using MC 17 and Folder option for my music. After a while from a fresh MC 17 installation track order in my music folders changes and tracks are shown incorrectly. Currently, the only solution is doing a fresh installation. This also used to happen with MC 16 & MC 15...What am I doing wrong and how can I have a stable non changing track order in my music folders.. Many thanks in advance !

Maybe you have shuffle on. It's a small button in the upper right corner.
Where are you in MC when you see this? Playing Now?

Hi Jim ! Yes when I select the album (File View) and it goes into the playing now box on the right the tracks aren't in their correct order. I checked the shuffle option etc..not selected.

Same issue here. When playing from Artist, tracks play as they always should, in ascending track order. But, when playing from Album view, tracks play alphabetically, as they are stored on the HDD. Why is this?

Theater View or Standard View?
How are you playing? Play Button?
Investigate the options you have set under Tools/Options/General/Behavior.

From regular view, when playing off Albums folder. I'll click on the album, and the track order in the right pane will be alphabetical, and play that way when hitting play. When playing from Artist folder, all is well, as it seems to be when in theater view.

Both of you, check the collumn headers. They will be numbered (sort order) with an arrow pointing up or down (ascending or descending). Somehow I believe you have managed to change it without knowing it.
You can change the sort order temporarily by clicking the collumn headers or clicking the little triangle on the tab on top of the right pane.
