ive got a playlist of about 2000 songs that i'd like to move to my laptop but i have not seen an easy way to select all the songs, and copy them over to a flash drive or something.
is there a way to do this within mc17?

What happens if you copy the playlist itself?
if that doesn't work, MC has a sync by playlist option in the handhelds settings.

i'm not sure, but i think nothing happens, much like when i select all on the playlist and try to copy/paste to a folder. it just doesn't appear to be accessible to the clipboard outside of MC. this would be a nice feature in MC18. i'm not at my PC at the moment but i will post here tomorrow when i have a chance to try it out

Select all the files in the playlist, and right-click any one of them, and use Library Tools > Move, Rename & Copy Files and select the Copy mode. Enable or Disable the Directories and Filename rules as necessary to produce the desired destination paths. The Preview area will show you what will happen.

I thought you were using the Handheld Sync.

Thanks, that methodology works quite nicely .

I tried this solution and have gotten inconsistent results. That is to say:
1. Tried to copy 3,000 files, file structure copied, but no files
2. Copied one file - worked.
3. Copied about forty more files - worked
4. Tried to copy 150 files - nothing happened
5. Tried to copy 40 files again - nothing happened
6. Copied one file - worked
Can't seem to copy multiple files at all now.
Has anyone seen this behaviour. Any ideas on what's causing it. I'm on Windows 7.
