Hi All
Is it possible to save a link or shortcut to a smartlist playlist on either the top or bottom toolbars for quick access?
Or any other way to give quick access to my specific smartlists e.g. "Missing Date" etc
Thanks in advance :)

You could add the 'Quick Play' button to the toolbar.
Or if you're a brave soul, you could try 'Car Radio' in MC18 -- a row of programmable buttons visible in 'Playing Now'.

I can get you close, but its a hack.
There is an MCC command that will allow you to edit a smartlist by smartlist ID. You can use this command to bring you to the smartlist, but it has the edit dialog open, which you can dismiss with the Escape key or Cancel button.
The command is:
mc17.exe /mcc 21026,<smartlist id>
where you replace the smartlist id with its numeric value. You can find this in any dialog that has a Set rules for file display (such as a Customize view dialog), and adding a rule to select from the given smartlist (Playlists is any <playlist name>). The Import/Export button will then show you the playlist ID.
Finally, you can now customize a keyboard shortcut to execute this command:

add navigation to the toolbar, then add your favorites

Thank you all for your very helpful replies :)
@ Lasse_Lus - This has done it for me, and is doing exactly what I wanted for this and other "links" - thank you :)
@ Matt - I have beta tested other media software, but don't want to do this with my current library. I have set up another HDD to have a look at MC18x, thank you
@ MrC - This is interesting and was what I was going to do before Lasse_lus' post. I'm still going to have a look at this - thank you
