I am an extremely tech savvy individual. I have considerable programming experience and even a good amount of UI design exp.
My biggest complain with MC17 was the settings UI. I feel like its scattered all throughout the program. I have to hunt for options and they arent where I expect them to be. My recommendation is to simplify the menu structure. I would remove several of the title bar menu options and place all settings into a single pane. You have already done this with most options. But, in my humble opinion, everything should be there. It should also be the only place to set things.
