Is it possible to stream the files from my PC to my Android phone whilst connected to the same wi fi network? What app would I need to be able to play the tracks if it possible?
Could I also upload playlists into my phone and use something like Poweramp to play them?

Gizmo can play from your MC library to your Android phone. The wiki has a topic on Gizmo.

Doesn't work for me, I just get a "resume playback" image on the phone, and the PC continues to stream through the hi fi system. I tried this originally a while ago, and assumed it wasn't designed to....

That's what I tried all those months ago....it doesn't work for me! Like I said, te screen image reverts to the Resume Playback, but the track continues to play through the PC / DAC

What version of Android is it? What kind of files are you trying to play? If you transfer them to the phone, can you play them?

Jellybean
FLAC
No, I don't have a music client to play FLAC files. I'm confused - does Gizmo do this, or simply stream the data to the phone for a media player to use? This is what I assumed was the case.
