Title: Streaming to Android phone for playback

Is it possible to stream the files from my PC to my Android phone whilst connected to the same wi fi network? What app would I need to be able to play the tracks if it possible?

Could I also upload playlists into my phone and use something like Poweramp to play them?

Gizmo can play from your MC library to your Android phone.  The wiki has a topic on Gizmo.

Doesn't work for me, I just get a "resume playback" image on the phone, and the PC continues to stream through the hi fi system. I tried this originally a while ago, and assumed it wasn't designed to....

That's what I tried all those  months ago....it doesn't work for me! Like I said, te screen image reverts to the Resume Playback, but the track continues to play through the PC / DAC

What version of Android is it?  What kind of files are you trying to play?  If you transfer them to the phone, can you play them?

No, I don't have a music client to play FLAC files. I'm confused - does Gizmo do this, or simply stream the data to the phone for a media player to use? This is what I assumed was the case.
