Title: Insufficient HD space
Post by: SteveR on October 25, 2012, 01:21:15 pm
Just installing MC 17 and music files into a new laptop (Asus N56VM) after my Viao F12 died. Asus has 750G hard drive, but has been partitioned so that I only have around 270G of library space (C:\ OS) which is noweher near enough.

The other partition is D:\DATA and is less than 1/4 used, and has nearly 400G of space in it. How can I shift some space over? I'm not sure I want libraries on different partitions....

MC can handle files from two or more drives without any problems.

If you decide to move the files to D:, you might take a look at the wiki topic called "Moving Files".

Windows 7 (and Vista) can resize partitions on the fly out of the box:

I was going to try easus, but I'm just puzzled why the data partition is so big, there's nothing in it.

ASUS does that.

I don't know why.
