Title: How do I transcode WMA files onto an iPhone?
Post by: greg.smalter on October 28, 2012, 02:21:54 pm
My wife got an iPod a few years ago and I was about to use MC to transcode our music library onto it without using iTunes. I had to get a license for some MP3 conversion utility, but it was great as I was able to set a different compression level for the iPod and it didn't matter what format the source files were.

Now she has an iPhone and I want to do something similar. If fully understand that it is not possible to do this without using iTunes. I have installed iTunes and am using the MC Export to iTunes & iPhone feature. It works, but only for mp3 files. Most of our library is lossless WMA. How can I convert these on the fly like I did for the iPod?

Thanks.
