Title: Loving the ability to fill tags on import using expressions!
Post by: csimon on October 29, 2012, 01:32:48 pm
Just had to say!

(I don't remember seeing this in later MC17 versions so I assume it's a new feature in MC18)

Now I can import files that don't have inherent metadata and have the import fill in tags based on strategic elements of the folder names and filenames without having to go back and use Fill Properties From Filename.

These were in MC17, but I can't find the release note that introduced them.  I think they were born with Carnac.

NEW: Tag on Import -- when importing a folder or adding a folder to auto-import, tags can be applied to new files found in the folder (including full support for tag values built with expressions)

AlexB's searchable changelog record can often be very useful indeed (thanks again Alex)

Crikey, I'd completely missed that. There was me manually filling in tags after imports!

This is only for auto-import, right?  Not manual import from explorer?
