Title: Screen shot issue
Post by: Cazzesman on October 29, 2012, 05:12:57 pm
In another thread I attempted to upload a screen shot.

In my V16 MC I have a working email address and password.  I can use them along with my user name to log into this site just fine.

I went through the Screen shot procedures as per the instructions from Jim's other thread and had no luck getting onto Pix01.  It kept telling me my email address didn't work and my pass word was wrong.

I had previously checked the Pix01 site and can't find a place to register other than signing up to MC which of course I already am.     I assumed my email and password was the ones I use to access MC now.    I use v16 and am happy to stay with it.   Do I need to have V17 to find the registration link to Pix01?

Where is my 'operator error' coming from?

Regards Cazzesman

Suggestion - use an image service such as Photobucket or Imgur instead.  It is much easier to manage uploads, and albums over time.  And they are free too.

Pix01 registration is not the same as the forum registration.  See "Getting Started" in the upper right corner of this page:

?  Jim the getting started just asks me to download MC17.  I have paid for MC16 so how does downloading 17 help me with Pix01?

You own an MC17 license.  I answered your question in your other thread:

Please use this thread for the license problem.  I'll lock the others.

Jim I think you have me confused with jFuzz.

My registration tells me I have V16.

I am confused now.  I just looked up your license and e-mailed it to you.

 ;D ;D ;D

I'm not sure what is going on here.   The email came through to me.

I know I only ever purchased V16 a while back and I never upgraded to V17 because my motto is...."If it ain't broke don't fix it".   :D    I even mentioned that in a thread somewhere 6 months ago.

So where does that leave us???   What would you like me to do?

When we switch versions, there are a few weeks when we sell new version licenses for users of the older version.

Install MC17.  It's on our Download Page.

:-X     Okay I have found an old email re the purchase.   I'm terribly sorry for all the confusion.

It says I have paid for V17 but for some reason I have only ever had V16 on my system.

I'm now wondering whether I initially tried V17 in its early infancy and it gave me some grief so I reverted to V16 which was stable for me.

That email was dated 10th Feb 2012.

After all that how will my using V16 effect to use of Screen Shot?

Regards Cazzesman

No effect.  If you want to use Pix01, you need to register for it.  See my post above.  More here:

Or use the services MrC recommended.
