what's the easy way for loopback in jrmc 18 ?

It's not easier (yet).  So it's still: File > Open URL... > live://loopback

However, the underlying engine is better in v18.  It now automatically adapts to keep latency low while avoiding buffer shortfalls.

To make it a bit easier, I add an "Open URL" button to the toolbar. Since the only thing I use it for is the Loopback the address is always there and all I have to do is hit OK.

I'll add that with MC18 the loopback is tick and pop free after playing with the latency of my interface, which I couldn't quite get with 17.

oh ok. thanks guys ! looked through some threads about live loopback made me think it was already automatic :).
