Title: Burning RMJ (Real Audio) files-why not?
Post by: joehesta on April 17, 2002, 07:23:21 pm
What's the deal on incorporating this functionality. I have almost a thousand RMJ files that can't be written to CD from Media Jukebox. I'd love to dump Real Audio but can't until this works.- Help!

I also made the mistake of starting with Real Audio.  Bad mistake.  I recommend you convert your rmj to mp3.  You won't regret it.  Winamp with the Tara plug-in will take rmj to wav, then use your favorite program to go wav to mp3.  You can set this up in batches, limited by your disk space (the wav files are large).  Going rmj 176kbps to mp3 160kbps produced no noticeable distortion, except some files have some silence added to the end (which MJ ignores with the right settings).  Working with Real files is real bad.
