Title: [solved] Make MC catch all volume commands
Post by: StFeder on November 02, 2012, 07:36:54 pm
Using Windows7 MediaCenter 17 (and 18 if remember right) caught all volume up/down events given by a Media Center Remote for example. Also my Laptops volume control buttons where caught by MC (ThinkPad T520).

With windows 8 my remote (and Laptop) is only able to control the system standard playback devices volume. Does anybody now why and if there is anything I could do to make MC again catch those commands?

It would be important for me, as I'm using MC with a secondary soundcard to make absolutely sure, that no system sound or other programs can interrupt my ballroom events.

If I understand correctly, Matt is aware of this problem. Hopefully there will be a fix for general download in an upcoming build soon.

I'm aware of the problem, but haven't been able to find a solution.

This is the biggest problem I've had with Windows 8.

I'm still searching for a solution...
