Title: cloud based collaboration app - recommendations please

I'm looking for a cloud based app for about a dozen people that want to collaborate on producing an online multi-media "book" consisting of annotated photos, documents, audio clips, and possibly video clips.

Recommendations would be appreciated.

Brilliant. Exactly what I wanted. Love the integration between Picasa, Google Docs, and Google Drive.

If you find that Google Docs doesn't meet your needs in the future, I can recommend BaseCamp (http://basecamp.com/).  It works great and integrates with TONS of other products.  One really nice integration is BaseCamp + Harvest (http://www.getharvest.com/) for project management, collaboration, and billing.
