Just wondering if it's still in beta or is it ready for general use? I've just noticed "beta" hasn't been used in a while.
-
The distinction when it comes to JRiver is mostly academic and not practical. In any case, MC18 is as stable for me as any version ever has been. I'm using it in daily production use on multiple machines.
I wouldn't call it beta-quality, if that's what you're looking for.

MC18 is working good for me with beneficial new features in use. Zero problems in my experience (the last two weeks).
-
As long as you aren't using MC18 as a server to play video to a MC18 client it should be ok.
-
Will install it asap ;D

With directly accessible files (via a mounted network drive or UNC path), this works fine.
I don't know about the built-in streaming, as I don't use that.

Ditto. Do you have a thread started with the issues you are seeing? I use MC18 primarily on clients connected back to my library server, no issues here.

It's been posted about in this thread http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=74699.0 (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=74699.0)
I have also posted a few times in the sticky build threads but have never gotten any feedback.
