Title: VST plugin out of sync
Post by: mbagge on November 08, 2012, 02:04:09 pm
For some time I have been using "BC FreqAnalyst 2" VST and it is to my eyes in sync with the music. Now I have installed "TT Dynamic Range Meter 1.4" and that seems to be somewhat ahead of the music.
Are there some way of regulating VSTs to come in sync with the music ?
And will it be possible to have more than one VST active at a time ?

You can enable any number of VST (or other DSP plug-ins).  Just check them in DSP Studio.

The lag in a visualizer type VST is directly related to the primary buffer size.  You can reduce that in Options > Audio > Output mode settings...

That helped, now Dynamic Range is almost up to speed but FreqAnalyst now seems a bit out of sync.  ;)

To my next question, I mean is it possible to have them both displaying at one time. They seem to share the same window and only one can show itself at one time.

Not currently.

I think it might be neat to fold DSP Studio into the main program tree and allow any DSP to be detached.  But this is just an idea.  I'm not sure if it'll ever happen.
