Title: Way to stop MC prefixing its renderers with "{Server}:"?

I want to be able to rename my MC renderers and have them appear that way to other DLNA devices. At the moment if I rename my MC renderer to "xxxxx" all other devices see something called "{server}:xxxxx". if i had wanted that I would have given it that name in the first place!! Is there any clever way to get it to drop the prefix?

I would like to do this too. That prefix is annoying. I have players that only show the first 8 characters or so of the name until you scroll down and highlight them and then wait for the long name to scroll so you can make sure you connecting to the correct one. Would be great just to have them named SamsungTV, SonyTV, PS3, etc without any prefix.

Did you ever get an answer?

Sadly no, but hopefully Bob will see this pop up again and help us out  :).
